Spanish Club Presentation Series & Film

Description: Join the Spanish Club for a presentation on the Chicano movement and its influence on Mexcian-American communities and civil rights in the U.S. The event will begin at 5 pm in the lecture hall of the Sandridge Science Center and will be followed by the HBO film 'Walkout.'

Don Trivett will speak on his recent essay,'The Chicano Separatist Movement,' which has been published as a chapter in 'Extremism in America.'

This is an approved cultural activity credit event for UVa-Wise students.
