Description:
The National Society of Leadership & Success will host a speaker live broadcast of "The New Social Entrepreneurism" with Blake Mycoskie at 7 pm in the Dogwood Room of the Slemp Student Center. Cultural activity credit for one speaker event is available to UVa-Wise students. **A re-broadcast will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 5 at 5 pm in the Cantrell Gladeville Room.** Blake Mycoskie is the Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS, and the person behind the idea of One for One™, which has turned into a global movement. Since it began in 2006, TOMS has given more than 10 million pairs of new shoes to children in need, and has helped save and restore sight to more than 150,000 people in need around the world. Blake's first book, Start Something That Matters, which offers his own amazing story of inspiration and the power of incorporating giving into business, became a New York Times bestseller.
