- Early Bird application deadline for the Spring 2013 Ireland Trip is today (note: there are a limited number of seats for this trip).
The trip will be May 21-June 1 2013 (ENG 3140 – Irish Literature, History and Music) and final application deadline is Jan. 25.

- The TEAS Test required for admission to the Nursing Program will be given on October 25 and 26, as well as on November 29 and 30. This will be a proctored exam and will be from noon-4 pm in Darden Hall B022 on all dates.

- Description:
- The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will plant a tree in memory of Chancellor David J. Prior on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.
The sugar maple was purchased with donations from members of the college community.
The tree will be planted outside the David J. Prior Convocation Center. A reception will follow.

- The Annual SVEA Children's Christmas, themed Grinch!, will be held tonight in Cantrell Banquet Hall.
Admission is free for area children to participate in playing games, making ornaments and watching a short-version of "The Grinch." Refreshements and a silent auction are available for purchase.
